1. Acceptance
By creating a LimeliChat account or using the service, you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy. If you are accepting on behalf of a company or other legal entity, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
These Terms constitute a binding agreement between you (the "Client") and Lime Lift BV, registered in Belgium (VAT BE1021859168), operating as LimeliChat.
2. The service
LimeliChat is a self-hosted AI chat platform that allows businesses to embed a chat widget on their website. The widget answers visitor questions using a knowledge base built from the client's own website content, and can hand off conversations to a human via the channels the client chooses, such as WhatsApp, Microsoft Teams, Slack, Discord, email or phone.
We may update, modify, or discontinue features of the service at any time. We will provide reasonable notice of material changes that affect existing functionality.
3. Account and free trial
To use LimeliChat you must register an account with a valid email address. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and for all activity that occurs under your account.
New accounts receive a 7-day free trial with access to Starter plan features. No payment information is required to start the trial. At the end of the trial period, your account is suspended until you subscribe to a paid plan. Trial data is retained for 14 days after trial expiry, then deleted.
You must be at least 18 years old and a legal representative of the business using the service.
4. Subscription and payment
Paid plans are billed monthly in advance. All prices are in EUR and exclude Belgian VAT (where applicable). Your subscription renews automatically each month unless you cancel before the renewal date.
Plan limits (AI reply counts, number of websites) are defined per plan tier. Exceeding the AI reply limit does not incur additional charges — the widget will display a polite offline message until the next billing period.
If a payment fails, we will retry for 7 days before suspending your account. Data is retained for 30 days after suspension, then deleted. You may reactivate by updating your payment method and settling any outstanding balance.
Refunds are provided at our discretion for unused portions of a billing period when an account is cancelled within 3 days of a renewal charge. After 3 days, no refund is issued for the current period.
5. Acceptable use
You may not use LimeliChat to:
- Provide false, misleading, or deceptive information to website visitors
- Collect personal data without a lawful basis or without informing visitors in accordance with GDPR
- Engage in spam, phishing, or any form of unsolicited commercial communication
- Embed the widget on websites hosting illegal content, adult content, gambling (where prohibited), or content that promotes discrimination or violence
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract data from the LimeliChat platform itself
- Resell or sublicense access to LimeliChat without our express written consent
- Use the service in a way that disrupts, degrades, or overloads our infrastructure
Violation of these terms may result in immediate account suspension without refund.
6. Intellectual property
Your content: You retain all ownership of your website content, knowledge base entries, and conversation data. By using LimeliChat, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to process your content solely to provide the service.
LimeliChat platform: The LimeliChat software, branding, and design are owned by Lime Lift BV and protected by Belgian and EU intellectual property law. You receive a limited, non-transferable licence to use the platform during your subscription.
Feedback: If you provide suggestions or feedback about the service, we may use that feedback without restriction or compensation.
7. Data and privacy
You are the data controller for personal data collected from your website visitors through the LimeliChat widget. LimeliChat processes this data as a data processor on your behalf, under the terms of our Data Processing Agreement, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
You are responsible for: (a) having a lawful basis to collect and process visitor data; (b) informing your website visitors about the use of an AI chat service and any data collection (e.g. via your own privacy policy); (c) configuring data retention periods appropriately.
Our collection and use of your account data is described in our Privacy Policy.
8. Availability and support
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee any specific uptime SLA on Starter, Growth, or Pro plans. We perform maintenance with advance notice where possible. Planned maintenance windows will be communicated at least 24 hours in advance.
Support is provided by email at hello@limelichat.com. We aim to respond to support requests within 2 business days.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Belgian law, LimeliChat's total cumulative liability to you for any claim arising from or related to these Terms or the service shall not exceed the fees you paid to us in the three months preceding the claim.
We are not liable for: indirect, incidental, or consequential damages; loss of profits or revenue; loss of data (beyond our deletion and retention obligations); or any damage resulting from the AI generating incorrect, incomplete, or outdated information.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under Belgian law.
10. Termination
By you: You may cancel your subscription at any time via your account dashboard. Access continues until the end of the current billing period. Your data is retained for 30 days after the period ends, then permanently deleted.
By us: We may suspend or terminate your account immediately for a material breach of these Terms (including acceptable use violations), with written notice. We may terminate for convenience with 30 days' notice, in which case we will provide a pro-rata refund for any unused prepaid period.
On termination, you may request an export of your conversation data and knowledge base entries within 30 days. After that period, all data is deleted.
11. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by Belgian law. Any dispute that cannot be resolved amicably shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Antwerp, Belgium.
If you are a consumer (not acting in a professional capacity), mandatory consumer protection provisions of your country of residence may also apply.

Gebruiksvoorwaarden
Inhoud
1. Aanvaarding
Door een LimeliChat-account aan te maken of de dienst te gebruiken, ga je akkoord met deze Gebruiksvoorwaarden ("Voorwaarden") en ons Privacybeleid. Als je namens een rechtspersoon akkoord gaat, verklaar je de bevoegdheid te hebben die entiteit aan deze Voorwaarden te binden.
Deze Voorwaarden vormen een bindende overeenkomst tussen jou (de "Klant") en Lime Lift BV, geregistreerd in België (btw BE1021859168), actief onder de naam LimeliChat.
2. De dienst
LimeliChat is een self-hosted AI-chatplatform waarmee bedrijven een chatwidget op hun website kunnen plaatsen. De widget beantwoordt vragen van bezoekers op basis van een kennisbank die is opgebouwd uit de eigen website-inhoud van de klant, en kan gesprekken overdragen aan een medewerker via de kanalen die de klant kiest, zoals WhatsApp, Microsoft Teams, Slack, Discord, e-mail of telefoon.
We kunnen functies van de dienst op elk moment bijwerken, aanpassen of stopzetten, met redelijke kennisgeving bij materiële wijzigingen.
3. Account en gratis proefperiode
Voor gebruik van LimeliChat dien je een account te registreren met een geldig e-mailadres. Je bent verantwoordelijk voor de vertrouwelijkheid van je wachtwoord en alle activiteit onder je account.
Nieuwe accounts ontvangen een gratis proefperiode van 7 dagen met toegang tot de Starter-planfuncties. Geen betaalinformatie vereist. Na de proefperiode wordt je account opgeschort totdat je een betaald abonnement afsluit. Proefdata wordt 14 dagen na het einde van de proefperiode bewaard en daarna verwijderd.
4. Abonnement en betaling
Betaalde abonnementen worden maandelijks vooraf gefactureerd in EUR, exclusief Belgische btw. Je abonnement verlengt automatisch tenzij je vóór de verlengingsdatum opzegt.
Planbegrenzingen (AI-antwoordlimieten, aantal websites) zijn gedefinieerd per planniveau. Het overschrijden van de AI-antwoordlimiet leidt niet tot extra kosten — de widget geeft een vriendelijk offline bericht tot de volgende factureringsperiode.
Bij een mislukte betaling proberen wij het 7 dagen opnieuw voordat je account wordt opgeschort. Data wordt 30 dagen na opschorting bewaard en daarna verwijderd.
5. Aanvaardbaar gebruik
Je mag LimeliChat niet gebruiken om:
- Valse, misleidende of bedrieglijke informatie aan websitebezoekers te verstrekken
- Persoonsgegevens te verzamelen zonder wettelijke grondslag of zonder bezoekers te informeren conform de AVG
- Spam, phishing of ongewenste commerciële communicatie te verzenden
- De widget te integreren op websites met illegale inhoud, pornografische inhoud, gokken (waar verboden) of inhoud die discriminatie of geweld promoot
- Het LimeliChat-platform te reverse-engineeren, scrapen of er gegevens uit te extraheren
- Toegang tot LimeliChat door te verkopen zonder onze uitdrukkelijke schriftelijke toestemming
Schending van deze voorwaarden kan leiden tot onmiddellijke accountopschorting zonder terugbetaling.
6. Intellectuele eigendom
Jouw inhoud: Je behoudt alle eigendomsrechten op je website-inhoud, kennisbankitems en gespreksgegevens. Je verleent ons een beperkte, niet-exclusieve licentie om je inhoud uitsluitend te verwerken voor de levering van de dienst.
LimeliChat-platform: De LimeliChat-software, branding en het ontwerp zijn eigendom van Lime Lift BV en beschermd door Belgische en EU-wetgeving inzake intellectuele eigendom.
7. Gegevens en privacy
Jij bent de verwerkingsverantwoordelijke voor persoonsgegevens die via de LimeliChat-widget worden verzameld van jouw websitebezoekers. LimeliChat verwerkt deze gegevens als verwerker namens jou, conform onze Verwerkersovereenkomst, die onderdeel uitmaakt van deze Voorwaarden.
Jij bent verantwoordelijk voor: (a) een wettelijke grondslag voor het verzamelen en verwerken van bezoekersgeg evens; (b) het informeren van jouw websitebezoekers; (c) het correct configureren van de bewaartermijnen.
8. Beschikbaarheid en ondersteuning
We streven naar hoge beschikbaarheid maar garanderen geen specifieke uptime-SLA voor Starter-, Growth- of Pro-plannen. Ondersteuning via e-mail op hello@limelichat.com; we streven ernaar binnen 2 werkdagen te reageren.
9. Beperking van aansprakelijkheid
Voor zover toegestaan door Belgisch recht, is de totale cumulatieve aansprakelijkheid van LimeliChat jegens jou voor elke vordering beperkt tot de vergoedingen die je ons hebt betaald in de drie maanden voorafgaand aan de vordering.
We zijn niet aansprakelijk voor indirecte, incidentele of gevolgschade; winstverlies; gegevensverlies (buiten onze bewaarverplichting); of schade als gevolg van incorrecte, onvolledige of verouderde AI-antwoorden.
10. Beëindiging
Door jou: Je kunt je abonnement op elk moment opzeggen via je accountdashboard. Toegang blijft actief tot het einde van de huidige factureringsperiode. Gegevens worden 30 dagen bewaard en daarna permanent verwijderd.
Door ons: We kunnen je account onmiddellijk opschorten bij een materiële schending van deze Voorwaarden, of met 30 dagen opzegtermijn om andere redenen (met pro-rata terugbetaling).
11. Toepasselijk recht en geschillen
Deze Voorwaarden worden beheerst door Belgisch recht. Geschillen die niet minnelijk kunnen worden opgelost, worden voorgelegd aan de exclusieve bevoegdheid van de rechtbanken van Antwerpen, België.

1. Acceptation
En créant un compte LimeliChat ou en utilisant le service, vous acceptez les présentes Conditions générales d'utilisation (« CGU ») et notre Politique de confidentialité. Si vous acceptez au nom d'une entité juridique, vous déclarez avoir le pouvoir de l'engager.
Ces CGU constituent un accord contraignant entre vous (le « Client ») et Lime Lift BV, enregistrée en Belgique (TVA BE1021859168), opérant sous le nom LimeliChat.
2. Le service
LimeliChat est une plateforme de chat IA auto-hébergée permettant aux entreprises d'intégrer un widget de chat sur leur site. Le widget répond aux questions des visiteurs à partir d'une base de connaissances construite à partir du contenu du site du client, et peut transférer les conversations à un humain via les canaux choisis par le client, tels que WhatsApp, Microsoft Teams, Slack, Discord, e-mail ou téléphone.
Nous pouvons mettre à jour, modifier ou interrompre les fonctionnalités du service à tout moment, avec un préavis raisonnable pour les changements importants.
3. Compte et essai gratuit
L'utilisation de LimeliChat nécessite la création d'un compte avec une adresse e-mail valide. Vous êtes responsable de la confidentialité de votre mot de passe et de toute activité sur votre compte.
Les nouveaux comptes bénéficient d'un essai gratuit de 7 jours avec accès aux fonctionnalités du plan Starter. Aucune information de paiement n'est requise pour démarrer l'essai. À la fin de la période d'essai, votre compte est suspendu jusqu'à la souscription d'un abonnement payant. Les données d'essai sont conservées 14 jours après expiration, puis supprimées.
4. Abonnement et paiement
Les abonnements payants sont facturés mensuellement à l'avance en EUR, hors TVA belge. Votre abonnement se renouvelle automatiquement chaque mois sauf résiliation avant la date de renouvellement.
Les limites de plan (nombre de réponses IA, nombre de sites) sont définies par niveau. Le dépassement de la limite de réponses IA n'entraîne pas de frais supplémentaires — le widget affiche un message hors ligne jusqu'à la prochaine période de facturation.
En cas d'échec de paiement, nous relancerons pendant 7 jours avant de suspendre votre compte. Les données sont conservées 30 jours après la suspension, puis supprimées.
5. Usage acceptable
Vous ne pouvez pas utiliser LimeliChat pour :
- Fournir des informations fausses, trompeuses ou mensongères aux visiteurs
- Collecter des données personnelles sans base légale ou sans informer les visiteurs conformément au RGPD
- Envoyer des spams, du phishing ou toute communication commerciale non sollicitée
- Intégrer le widget sur des sites hébergeant du contenu illégal, pour adultes, des jeux d'argent (là où ils sont interdits) ou du contenu promouvant la discrimination ou la violence
- Tenter de décompiler, scraper ou extraire des données de la plateforme LimeliChat elle-même
- Revendre ou sous-licencier l'accès à LimeliChat sans notre consentement écrit exprès
Toute violation de ces conditions peut entraîner la suspension immédiate du compte sans remboursement.
6. Propriété intellectuelle
Votre contenu : Vous conservez tous les droits de propriété sur votre contenu de site, vos entrées de base de connaissances et vos données de conversation. Vous nous accordez une licence limitée et non exclusive pour traiter votre contenu uniquement afin de fournir le service.
Plateforme LimeliChat : Le logiciel, la marque et le design LimeliChat appartiennent à Lime Lift BV et sont protégés par le droit belge et européen de la propriété intellectuelle.
7. Données et confidentialité
Vous êtes le responsable du traitement des données personnelles collectées auprès de vos visiteurs via le widget LimeliChat. LimeliChat traite ces données en tant que sous-traitant pour votre compte, conformément à notre Accord de traitement des données, qui est intégré aux présentes CGU par référence.
Vous êtes responsable de : (a) disposer d'une base légale pour la collecte et le traitement des données des visiteurs ; (b) informer vos visiteurs ; (c) configurer correctement les durées de conservation.
8. Disponibilité et assistance
Nous visons une haute disponibilité mais ne garantissons aucun SLA d'uptime spécifique sur les plans Starter, Growth ou Pro. L'assistance est fournie par e-mail à hello@limelichat.com ; nous visons une réponse sous 2 jours ouvrables.
9. Limitation de responsabilité
Dans la limite permise par le droit belge, la responsabilité totale cumulée de LimeliChat envers vous pour toute réclamation ne dépassera pas les frais que vous nous avez payés au cours des trois mois précédant la réclamation.
Nous ne sommes pas responsables des dommages indirects, accessoires ou consécutifs ; des pertes de profits ; des pertes de données (au-delà de nos obligations de conservation) ; ni des dommages résultant de réponses IA incorrectes, incomplètes ou obsolètes.
10. Résiliation
Par vous : Vous pouvez annuler votre abonnement à tout moment via votre tableau de bord. L'accès se poursuit jusqu'à la fin de la période de facturation en cours. Vos données sont conservées 30 jours, puis définitivement supprimées.
Par nous : Nous pouvons suspendre ou résilier votre compte immédiatement en cas de violation matérielle des CGU, ou avec 30 jours de préavis pour d'autres raisons (avec remboursement au prorata).
11. Droit applicable et litiges
Les présentes CGU sont régies par le droit belge. Tout litige qui ne peut être résolu à l'amiable sera soumis à la juridiction exclusive des tribunaux de Anvers, Belgique.
